Teach About the Changing Seasons!

Throughout this changing seasons teaching presentation, students are guided through a comprehensive Science lesson that defines weather, explains how weather changes with the seasons, and shows how the seasons affect plants and animals.

Inside this presentation, you’ll find 16 pages packed with Science-based activities to engage inquisitive minds and enhance focus in the classroom.

This download includes informative slides that introduce students to the four seasons and their characteristics, along with five learning checkpoints to help you assess student understanding.

By completing this digital presentation, students will develop knowledge of seasonal changes in the environment and explore how these changes affect everyday life. They also connect seasonal patterns to our daily activities.

Tips for Differentiation + Scaffolding

Use this activity at the beginning of your Seasons unit to provide your students with a general overview of seasons and their changes.

Above-Level Learners

Have students pick a season and illustrate a picture of a season that includes: weather, what a plant would look like, what an animal might be doing, and what people might be doing.

Below-Level Learners

Create a ‘Seasonal Changes’ display in the classroom with posters detailing the seasons and the months they’re in, a weather chart, and information on seasonal plants.
