Review verb types with your Year 3 students using this engaging 20-question digital quiz, ideal for lesson warm-ups or informal assessment.
Review Verb Types with a Digital Game
When students can distinguish between doing, thinking, saying, feeling and relating verbs, their reading comprehension deepens and their writing becomes more expressive. However, this concept can be a tricky one to grasp, with students often assuming that all verbs are simply ‘doing’ words!
This digital quiz has been designed by our team to help your students review verb types in the context of real sentences. Each slide presents students with a sentence where a verb is bolded, followed by three multiple-choice options. Students simply click the verb type that matches the bolded verb in the sentence. If students choose the incorrect answer, they are directed to a slide that encourages them to go back and try again.
The structured repetition helps solidify understanding, while the simplicity of the task ensures students stay focused on the learning goal right through to the final question!
