How To Set Up and Play This ELA Escape Room

Setting up and playing in this ELA escape room is a breeze! Here are a few tips and tricks!

  1. Assign your escape room students to small groups of 2-3. Print a workbook booklet for each group (or one for each student, if you prefer). Have them cut apart the pages, arrange them in order, and staple them.
  2. Use your school’s LMS system to assign the Escape Room Game via Google Classroom, etc. Upload the PowerPoint or Slides file to your LMS and set it to make a copy for each student.
  3. Project Slide 1 in presentation mode and introduce the escape game to the students. Have students open the file on their device and place the slides in PRESENTATION mode.
  4. Students will have to answer the first question before Clue # 1 is revealed. They will work through the problems in their workbook, which, when correct, will reveal the code they need to progress to the next clue.
  5. Play continues in this manner until groups help Alice escape!

Answer keys to the workbook pages are also included.
