Design Your Own Haunted House! A PBL Perimeter and Area Project for Kids

Get ready for a spooky blast! Our Halloween-themed activity will engage students to apply their area and perimeter skills in a fun, creative, and hands-on way. With set guidelines, students will design their own Haunted House, including the creepy rooms that will appear within. It’s the perfect way to bring holiday cheer into your classroom with a meaningful twist. Let’s get started on this exciting adventure!

What’s Included in this PBL Project?

What is PBL? PBL stands for Project-Based Learning, which is a student-focused approach to education. Instead of memorizing information, students are encouraged to actively engage with a subject over an extended period. This is done through inquiry-based learning, where students are challenged to think critically and creatively. PBL differs from traditional teaching methods, such as rote memorization or teacher-led instruction, which simply present facts.
