This open-ended mathematics investigation has been designed to deepen students’ understanding of measuring area using informal units.

In this investigation, Miss Sparkle is producing another one of her fabulous plays! She needs to find people who can make sound effects by stomping their feet. Miss Sparkle has asked the class to find whose feet have the biggest area in order to find the people who can make the biggest sound!
