Teach your students to recognize and use collective nouns with a teaching presentation.
What are Collective Nouns?
Collective nouns are nouns that name a group of objects, like a school of fish or a flock of birds. Many examples of collective nouns are used in everyday language, but others are difficult for young readers and writers to understand. We can help you with collective nouns lessons with a handy Collective Noun Slideshow.
This resource is best used as a teaching tool for helping students recognize collective nouns and maintain the subject-verb agreement. The students will match collective nouns to their groups and make the collective noun agree with the verb in a sentence.
