Fun Variations for These Preposition Questions
This digital resource makes a great lesson warm-up or wrap-up activity when teaching prepositions to your class. You can make the activity even more engaging by experimenting with the options below:
- Beat the Clock – Set a time limit and see how many correct answers students can get in the set amount of time. Alternatively, time the class as they complete the activity, then repeat the quiz to see if they can beat their previous time.
- Team Relay Race – Divide the class into two or more teams. Display each question on the interactive whiteboard, then have one student from each team race to touch the correct answer. The first correct response earns a point for their team.
- Incorrect Preposition Analysis – Instead of selecting the correct answer, challenge students to explain why the incorrect answers don’t fit. Not only does this encourage deeper thinking, but it can also lead to some very funny explanations!
