Practice identifying numbers 1-100 with this set of 32 mystery picture task cards.

Use this resource when students are learning to identify the numbers 1–100.

This teaching resource requires students to color number squares on a hundreds chart to reveal a mystery picture. This activity is great to use as an early finisher or math center activity.

The download includes a hundreds chart numbered 1-100 and another chart without numbers, allowing you to differentiate the level of challenge as needed. The 32 task cards contain simple instructions, and the solutions are also provided in the download.

You may like to:

  • Print the task cards on cardstock to use again and again.
  • Print out the hundreds chart, slip it into a dry-erase sleeve, and have students complete a task card using a set of colored dry-erase markers. This will allow the students to clean the board and complete another one when they are done.

I love these, I can use these for 4th grade fractions. Students can practice the already made ones to become familiar, then allowing them to make their own pictures, write the colored portion in fraction, decimal and word form. My only problem is this pdf prints with the grid. Is there a solution to take the grid off? Thank you.

Thank you so much Rhonda for bringing the grids to our attention. I have resolved the problem and everything should be working fine again. I love the idea you have for using this resource – very clever! We hope you and your students enjoy using them. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you. Have a great day!
