Fix Fragments With a Finish The Sentence Game

Get ready to engage your students and get them up, moving, and writing complete sentences with a brand new Finish the Sentence Game from Teach Starter! This year, we’re excited to help you grow strong writers by starting them off with foundational lessons in sentence structure, starting with this fun Finish the Sentence Game for Sentence Fragments!

Printable Finish This Sentence Game for Kids

This brand new resource consists of an engaging SCOOT! Style Finish This Sentence Game for kids. In this game, students will work to move about the room and engage with a series of sentence fragments. From there, they will use their sentence writing skills to transform the sentence fragment into a complete sentence by adding subjects, predicates, and more.

How to Play This Finish the Sentence Game:

  • Hang cards around the room and assign each student a starting card number.
  • Students read the fragment and finish the sentence by writing their response on the recording sheet.
  • Students move to the next card when signaled.
  • Students will move in numerical order and continue until they finish all cards.

This resource is available in both black and white and color, for easy printing!
