Spring Into New Number Recognition Activities!
It’s spring at last! The beautiful new flowers are here, and the sun’s finally sweeping away those long, dark winter days. Celebrate spring in your kindergarten classroom and motivate kids to improve their number recognition skills with new spring math activities!
Bypass the Spring Worksheets…Try a “Numberpillar” Match-Up
Skip over the regular stuff, and dive straight into engaging match centers with our Spring Caterpillar Number Recognition activity. This math center is perfect for preschool or kindergarten students who have mastered the art of counting but still need some work on number recognition when looking at different ways to show numbers up to ten.
In this Spring Math activity, students will build their own “Numberpillars” by matching standard numbers with their various representations – using tally marks, numbers in a ten frame and linking cubes.
