How to Build Students' Oral Language Skills
- Add a Daily Read Aloud to Your Class Schedule — You never get too old to listen to a book read out loud, and listening to you read a book out loud is especially valuable for those bilingual learners who need to listen to a fluent reader!
- Incorporate Reader's Theatre. Reader's theatre can help students with not just their spoken language skills but non-verbal communication as well, giving them a chance to practise expressing a wide range of emotions through their voice and body language.
